Terracotta Orange Hoop Earrings

I am sharing yet another earrings DIY and this time it’s Terracotta Orange Hoop Earrings. It is quite durable and looks amazing. Let us start with the procedure:

For making these terracotta earrings, you will need terracotta clay that you can find at any of the craft shop near your home. Making earrings with this clay is same as we used to make random things with colorful clay in our childhood. Firstly, take little amount of clay and make a sphere out of it. Flatten the surface of the sphere using your hand or any flat object. Using a thick needle, make a hole at the center of the sphere.

Next take some eye pins that again is easily available at any craft and jewelry shop. If you don’t get them then you can simple crafting wire. Cut small pieces from the eye pins or wire. Insert it into the sphere as shown in the image. Leave some gap in between two pins and also cover the entire circumference of the sphere. Make small pearls of terracotta clay and insert them into all the pins. Make sure that size of each pearl should be same and uniform. Repeat the above procedure to form another pair of sphere and it should exactly same as the first one. Let them dry for 12-15 hours.

After drying, color them with your desired color and again let them dry. Take two Silver Hoops and insert the spherical hole into each hoop.

Orange Hoop Earrings are ready and will look good traditional as well western wear.

Note: Be quick while working with terracotta clay as it tends to become tight if kept in air for too long.

Happy DIY!!
