I am sharing another post of a
statement Ring. Previously that I have posted was made of marble but this time I
am posting a DIY of a Ring made of terracotta clay. I have posted two DIYs of
earrings made of this clay. This DIY is super-duper easy and inexpensive so let
us look at the procedure:
Take some terracotta clay and
make it round or flat with any roller like object. Now take a ring blank and
insert it into the clay. The round flat part of the ring goes into the clay. Take
any circular object and cut the circle around the ring blank.
Now take some more clay and make
a small sphere from it. Make sure that this sphere should be less than the
sphere that we have cut in the previous step. Place this sphere on to the
bigger sphere. Take the stone and insert at the center of the small sphere so
that the shape of the stone gets imprinted on the sphere surface. Once done,
remove the stone as we will paste it at the end. Let the ring to dry for 10-12
hours.
Now color the ring with pearl
colors selecting color of your choice. After coloring, paste the stone on the
top using any strong glue.
Terracotta Ring is ready and it
will super classy on your hands.
Note: Do remember to be very quick as terracotta clay gets dry quickly. If you will feel that the clay has become tight so in that case dip your fingers in water and then work with clay as water will again moisturize the clay.
Happy DIY!!
