Today I am going to
share with you a DIY of Black and White jhumkas. Jhumkas are in trend these days
and you can pair them with ethnic wear as well as western wear. Jhumkas that I
have made is of black color with white pearls and here is the Jhumkas.
Following are the materials that will be required:
- 6 Black 3mm Quilling Strips
- Slotted Quilling Tool
- Glue
- Pair of Earring Hooks
- Eye Pins
- Small White Pearls
- Silver Pearl Color
Let’s look at the procedure:
Step 1: Take all the quilling strips and paste them one
after the other joining their ends to form a single quilling strip. Using
slotted quilling tool, roll the strips to form a circular disc of black color.
Make sure to not roll too tight and not too loose. Then carefully, take the
disc off the slotted tool using your thumbnail.
Step 2: Next, use your fingers to convert the disc into a
dome. You can use 3D mini mold if available with you. Then press the edge of
the dome by your fingers to get the four corners of square. After this, you
will get a jhumka of square shape. Next, mix white glue with water and apply it
all over the jhumka to make it more secure and durable.
Step 3: Paste small white pearls along the edge of the
jhumka with the glue. Do the step very carefully to get it done perfectly. Also
make some texture and design using silver pearl color on the jhumka.
Step 4: Insert the eye pin in the jhumka from the top
keeping the loop of the eye pin at the top. Insert one white and black pearl
into the eye pin from the bottom and form the loop at the end of the eye pin
with the help of flat nose plier.
Step 5: Take another eye pin and insert two white pearls in
it. Form the loop with a plier and slip this end into the loop of the eye pin
at the top of the jhumka. Take Earring Hook and open its loop with a plier and
slip it into the second eye pin loop. Your Square Jhumkas are ready.
Happy DIY!!
