Shagun Envelopes- Diwali Special
Diwali is just few days away and
excitement is on high level. Today I am going to share something that
will make your festival even more special. In the festive season, Shagun
Envelope is something that we all use to show our blessings for our
loved ones. You can get them in the market of many different varieties
but what if we decorate them at home with our hands. It will make it
even more beautiful.
For this, you will need plain envelopes that you can get
easily from the market. You can choose envelopes of different colors and
style. Now to decorate them, you can play with your imagination and
your crafting skills. You can use water-based colors,
embellishments, artificial flowers and so many other things. I have
shown five different ways by which you can decorate envelopes. I have
used poster colors, acrylic beads, Quilling, paper flowers and so on.
Just let your mind flow while doing this craft and I am sure that the
result that you will get will be amazing.

Cardboard Rangoli
Here I am with another DIY and it’s special because it’s
Diwali. We all love making Rangoli with vibrant colors but it is quite tiring
and also quite messy. So, today we will be learning how to make rangoli using
cardboard. The advantage of making rangoli with cardboard is that you just have
to arrange the pieces to get the desired pattern. First of all have a look at
the Rangoli
Let us start the procedure for Cardboard Rangoli:
Step 1: Take any cardboard piece. Rangoli that we will be
making is like a flower so we will cut a circle and five petals from the cardboard.
Step 2: Cut same pieces of a circle and five petals from a
white sheet and paste on the cardboard pieces.
Step 3: Apply Pink Pearl color on all the pieces. Take
golden pearl color and make boundary of all the pieces using thin paint brush
as shown in the picture.
Step 4: Now we will start decorating all the pieces one by
one. First take central circle and paste flower embellishment at its center.
Then paste colored crystals into three concentric circles around the flower
embellishment as shown in picture below. Then take small golden stars and paste
them at the boundary of the circle. You can customize the decoration as per you
wish and also the material that is available with you. Next, paste light green
embellishments around central circle in alternate lines. Lastly, paste small
artificial leaves between the lines on the empty space and paste green color
crystal above each leaf.
Step 5: Take one of the petal. Paste golden embellishment at
the bottom and center of the petal. Now paste artificial leaves to make a
flower as shown in the picture. Next, paste blue pearls in the V-Shape and
paste two colored crystals between it. Then paste four colored crystals at the
top of the petal. Follow the steps as shown in the picture. Decorate all five
petals exactly using this procedure.
Step 6: Your Cardboard Rangoli is ready. When you want to
use this rangoli, just paste double sided tape at the back of each piece and
spread it on the floor.
Happy DIY!!
Have a happy and safe Diwali!!
