Yarn Bird

I am again here with yet another cool DIY and this time it’s for all bird lovers. Today I will be showing you all how to make bird with the yarn. Now every home has yarn rolling here or there so take out them and lets do this creative DIY. It’s super easy and inexpensive for your home décor.

Let’s start the procedure:

Step 1: Firstly, take any three color yarns of your choice. Roll each yarn on a cardboard square around 40-50 times separately as shown in the image.

Step 2: Now with the help of a scissor, cut the each rolled yarn from one end as shown below. After doing this, you will have three separate strings which consists of number of thin strings of yarn. Take one thin string from each string as shown below.

Step 3: Take any two strings and place them in a plus formation. Then fold one end of any string on its other end as shown in the image. Do this for another string as well by creating an interlocking between the two.

Step 4: Next, it’s time to use the strings that we have earlier separated from the three strings. Tie the knot across the interlocking with the same color of thin string as the String. So you will have two color of thin strings to tie across two thick strings. Follow the steps shown in the image.

Step 5: Take the third thick string and place it on any String tied in previous step. Take a tissue paper and crush it to small ball. Place this paper ball just below the third string as shown in the image. Now fold the string just opposite to the string on which you have placed the paper ball. Fold it such that the paper ball is covered completely. Now fold the third string across its sides on right and lefts sides. Again follow the steps in the image for clear view. Now tie the knot collecting the ends of all strings folded with the last thin string that was earlier kept.

Step 6: Now we will make eyes of our little bird. Use colored sticky stones to do that as shown in the image.

Step 7: Take a black color sheet and cut a small square out of it. Make a cone out it by rolling the square. Cut the small part of the cone from the tip to get beak of the bird. Paste this beak between the eyes and little below it.

Step 8: Now it’s time to make claws of the bird. Take any crafting wire which must be quite hard and string. Fold the wire to form a claw having three fingers and one thumb like structure. Make sure to leave a thick vertical string at the top which is to be inserted into the yarn of bird.

Yarn Bird is ready. Think of some creative ideas of using these super cute Birds for your home décor and don’t forget to share with me.

Happy DIY!!
