Tea Coaster Carriage

Here I am to share an amazing creative DIY of making a Tea Coaster Carriage. Without a delay, let’s move ahead and look at the procedure.

Step 1: Take old magazines or newspapers and you can use both also like me. Divide the page of magazine into half or divide newspaper page into small strips. Then roll each piece of paper into thin tubes.

Step 2: Using a thin paint brush, coil the tube as shown in the image. Continue coiling by pasting the ends of the tubes to form a big coil. Make one coil of 4.5 in, 2 coils of 2.5 in and two coils of 3.7 in following the same procedure. Once done, apply glue all over the coils to make it more. After drying, take a strong cylindrical rod and roll it over the coils to make the surface uniform and plain. Do this for all the coils. Color the coils with your choice of color and I have colored them with blue and turquoise. Let them dry properly.

Step 3: Take cardboard and cut a piece out of it having dimensions as shown in the image.

Step 4: Now, take paper tubes and paste it on the cardboard piece covering the entire surface. Do this for both the surfaces of the piece. After drying, cut the extra part of the tubes. Take another paper tube and wrap it around the edges of this cardboard piece to cover its edges.

Step 5: Take a paper tube and fold it two times horizontally as shown in the figure. Now paste this folded piece on to the cardboard piece prepared in the previous step on one side as shown below. Do the entire pasting work using hot glue gun as it is strong.

Step 6: Take small pieces of paper tube of length 1.7 in. Paste them together in a square manner. Take another paper tube and fold it across the pasted pieces of the tube. Wrap it another paper tube spirally on the previous tube. Follow the steps shown in the image. Paste this piece on the cardboard piece just below the folded tube was pasted. Color the entire card board piece with the blue color.

Step 7: Take 4.5 in coil and mark diameter of it. Cut it into half using a sharp cutter and be extra careful as it will require patience due to the thickness of the coil.

Step 8: Cut a Cardboard rectangle of length 4.5 in and breadth 2.5 in. Now take half piece of the coil cut in the previous step and place it along the length at the edge marking its line on cardboard piece with the pen. Do exactly same at the opposite side.

Step 9: Take some paper tubes again and paste them between the lines marked in the previous step on cardboard rectangle. Paste them to cover the entire surface in one direction only. Once done, cut out the extra part of the tube.

Step 10: Paste the two halves of the coil on the left out space on the cardboard piece as shown in the image. Take another paper tube and wrap it around the edges of the cardboard piece. Paste using hot glue gun. Now color the entire cardboard rectangle with turquoise color.

Step 11: Paste the cardboard rectangle of the previous step on the earlier cardboard piece opposite to the side where folded tube was pasted earlier.

Step 12: Take two coils of 2.5 in and paste them vertically under the cardboard rectangle as these will be the wheels of stand. Place other two coils of 3.7 in onto the carriage as tea coaster

Tea Coaster Carriage is ready and now place it at the center of the dinning table.

Happy DIY!!
