Veg Pizza


Last Sunday, We had a pizza party at our home and we had a lot of fun. I had prepared pizzas at home along with its sauce and seasoning. It was great and so yummy that’s why I thought of sharing it with you. You can easily find the recipe of Pizza anywhere but still I feel like sharing it because it has my personal touch. Let’s get straight to the point and start with the recipe of Veg Pizza.



Now this whole recipe has three parts- Pizza Sauce, Pizza seasoning and Pizza. Have a look at the ingredients and procedure:

Ingredients for Pizza Sauce
  • 7 to 8 Medium sized Tomatoes
  • Chopped Onions 1 cup
  • Chopped Garlic 1 tbsp.
  • Tomato Ketchup 1 tbsp.
  • Oregano 1 tbsp.
  • Paprika Powder 1 tbsp.
  • Basil Leaves (Tulsi Leaves) 3-4 leaves
  • Salt
  • Sugar 1 tbsp.
Method:

  • Take a pan and add water to it. Boil the water and then add the tomatoes into the boiling water. Let them cook for some time until the peel starts separating from them. Take tomatoes out of the water and let them cool down.
  • Now remove the peel of the tomatoes and grind them into a thick puree using blender.
  • Take another pan and add oil to it. Then add the chopped garlic and sauté them for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add onions to the pan and let them cook until pink and soft. Don’t overcook the onion.
  • Add tomato puree to the pan and let it cook until a boil.
  • Now add all other ingredients one by one- tomato ketchup, oregano, paprika powder, salt, sugar and basil leaves.
  • Let the sauce cook for some time. If the sauce is too thick and dry then some water to it to make consistency as that of a sauce. Remember that it should not be too thin. Let the sauce cool down and go ahead with the seasoning recipe.

 Ingredients for Pizza Seasoning
  • Oregano 1 tbsp.
  • Salt
  • Garlic Powder 1 tbsp.
  • Paprika Powder 1 tbsp.
  • Black Pepper 1 tbsp.
Method:
  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and you’re seasoning is ready. If you have rosemary and thyme then you can use them as well.

Ingredients for Pizza
  • Pizza Base
  • Chopped Onions 1 cup
  • Chopped Tomatoes 1cup
  • Chopped Capsicum 1 cup
  • Mozzarella Cheese 1 cup
  • Butter
  •  Oil
Note: You can use other veggies like mushrooms, red or yellow capsicum and soya chunks to your pizza.

Method:
  • Take the Pizza base and apply butter on it. Spread pizza sauce all over the base followed by spreading all the raw veggies onions, tomatoes and capsicum. Don’t use too much of veggies. Now spread grated mozzarella cheese all over the veggies and then sprinkle the seasoning on it.
  • Take a heavy bottomed pan and heat it. Sprinkle some oil in the pan and keep pizza base on it. Now cover the pan with the lid and cook at low flame. Keep checking in between to avoid burning the bottom of the pizza base. Cook for about 10 to 12 minutes. This time may vary depending upon the flame.
  • Take out the pizza from the pan and sprinkle some seasoning again at the top. Now cut the pizza into four wedges with a knife and enjoy your pizza.
Do try to make Pizzas at home instead of ordering them because they are super easy to make and enjoy with your loved ones.
