Today we are going to make something very useful.
We all have plane pages of any old notebook in our home and we always keep
wondering how to use them. So here I am to help you with this DIY of making a
Mini Diary. Best part of this diary is that you can make them of any size and
is really customizable.
Materials which are required for this are- Card
Board, Loose Pages (in case you don’t have loose pages then you can use any
plane sheets) and hot Glue Gun.
First we will make outer cover of the diary using
a cardboard. Make measurements on the cardboard as shown in the image below. You
can change the measurements as per your requirement. Now once measurements are
done then cut the cover with scissor or cutter. This diary will have a side
flap and have ribbon knot.
Now after cutting, score all the lines to make
folding easy and smooth. Fold the lines just like a book. Take a string or
ribbon of length 32 cm. Paste this ribbon on the back side of cover at the
center such that its ends remain free. Paste any colored sheet all over the
cover to give it a nice look. Our outer cover of the diary is ready.
We will make pages of it and for that take plane
pages or any sheet of your choice. I am taking old pages of a register to use
them. Divide each page into four parts and cut them to the size so that they
can be fit into the diary. As I have used register pages so it’s easy for me to
divide them into four parts. You just have to make sure of one thing that pages
should have a size slightly smaller than the diary cover. Repeat the above step
and create a bundle of pages to fit into the diary cover. Apply hot glue all
over on one of the longer side of page bundle to stick all the pages together. Now
paste this side onto middle part of cover with the hot glue. Lastly tie the
knot to close it.
Voila!! Your Mini Diary is ready. Using any
colored pen, make some design on the outer cover with your hands. You can customize
it by changing its size and design. Look at one more Miniature Diary which is
quite small in size and its adorable.
Happy DIY!!
