Papered: DIY Miniature Couch

If you are someone who likes cute things then you are surely going to like today’s DIY. We will be making cute adorable Miniature Couch. It is super easy to make even kids can also make them. Without any delay, let’s start the process.

Materials that you will need for this DIY are:

Cardboard
Foam sheet
Hot Glue gun and Glue sticks
Three types of Fabrics
Colored Sheet matching with the Fabric
Polly Fill Cotton

First, we will make the basic structure of the Couch. Cut out 14 pieces from cardboard having the following dimensions:

4 pieces of size 15 cm by 7 cm.
8 pieces of size 7 cm by 7cm.
2 pieces of size 7 cm by 5.5 cm.

Now take two pieces of size 15 cm 7 cm and paste them together with the glue. Similarly, paste the remaining two pieces of same size 15 cm by7 cm. Repeat this step for 8 pieces of size 7 cm by 7 cm and you will have 4 cardboard pieces.

Cover all the cardboard pieces of all the sizes with the foam sheet. Wrap the foam sheet just like you wrap the gift box. Foam sheet will give all the pieces fluffiness and puffiness. Next, take any one fabric and cover all the cardboard pieces except the smaller ones having size 7 cm by 5.5 cm. Wrap the fabric such that the foam sheet is entirely covered. Take another fabric of your choice and cover the smaller pieces with it as well.

Take a colored sheet and cut out two small rectangles big enough to cover one surface of the pieces having size 7 cm by 7 cm. Paste these rectangles on the two pieces (7 cm by 7 cm) on one side. Now we will paste all the pieces together to get the shape of a couch. Take two larger pieces and paste them in L shape joining their one side with hot glue. Take other two pieces on which we have pasted the rectangular sheets. Paste them on the sides of L shape which is small joining two sides with the hot glue. Now take remaining two pieces (7 cm by 7 cm) and paste them on the surface of any one of the larger piece making sure to paste it on the top. Now take the smaller two pieces and paste them on the surface of the other larger piece on the top. Your couch is ready and let’s move ahead to make its cushions.

Take the last type of fabric and cut out two equal sized squares from it. You can choose any size of these squares depending upon the size of cushions you want to have. Now paste two squares together keeping the main side of fabric towards the outer direction. Paste only three sides of them with the hot glue and do leave some gap from the edges of all the sides. Insert Polly Fill cotton into the fabric from the open side using your fingers. Insert as much as cotton depending upon the puffiness you want in your cushions. Once done with the cotton, then seal the open side with the hot glue. Now trim the excess fabric from all the sides with scissor. Voila your cute little cushions are ready to grace your cute couch.
