Bread Poha

Today I am going to share another quick recipe of Bread Poha. When you are confused what to make for breakfast then these kinds of recipes come to rescue as these are very easy to make and taste really well. Let’s start the procedure.

Ingredients
  • Bread Slices 6-8
  • Boiled and Peeled Potatoes 3
  • Chopped Onion 1 Cup
  • Chopped Tomato ½ Cup
  • Roasted Peanuts ¼ Cup
  • Tomato Ketchup 2 tbsp.
  • Mustard Seeds 1 tsp.
  • Curry Leaves 6-8
  • Red chili Powder 2 tsp.
  • Coriander Powder 1tsp.
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil
  • Coriander Leaves for garnishing
Method

Divide bread slices into small pieces with hands and don’t throw the bread boundaries. Don’t make breads into very small pieces. Then add mashed potatoes into the bread pieces and give it a nice mix. Don’t be so hard while mixing just give a gentle mix. Keep this aside and now we will prepare its tempering.

Take a pan and add oil to it. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves to the pan. When mustard seeds start spluttering then add chopped onion to it. Cook onion until it becomes light brown in color but don’t overcook it. Now add chopped tomatoes and cook them until becomes soft and mushy. Add all the red chili powder, salt, coriander powder and tomato ketchup to the pan. Mix them all and cook for about 4-5 minutes or until oil gets separated.

Now add roasted peanuts and sauté for about 1-2 minutes. Then add bread potato mixture to the pan and mix it with the masala gravy. Sauté it for another 2-3 minutes. Your Bread Poha is ready and garnish it with coriander leaves to serve.

Bread Poha should be eaten when hot. You can sprinkle some sev or bikaneri bhujia over the top to give it more flavor.

Happy Cooking!!
